Mealtimes to Jack and I is something to be thought about, prepared for, planned at times and then most often enjoyed. He likes to cook from his head and heart and lots of his dinners include olive oil and paprika. I most often cook from a recipe and love to try new ones often. I bake too and love to take my newest cheesecake favorite to our familys' birthdays. (Now I am putting a plate under my spring form pan - a very embarrassed waitress at the Keg restaurant had an unfortunate accident where the bottom of the pan dropped out and we lost more than half of my cranberry cheesecake)
Tonight's menu for Mom and I :
Cheese and crackers with a nice glass of red wine
(while playing a couple of games of Rummikub - we call it Tiles)
Souvlaki Marinated Pork Loin (from Costco) - a Julie recommend
mashed potatoes
pita bread and tzatziki sauce
peaches and cream corn
Greek salad
Maybe just a bit more wine.
My homemade banana chocolate chip loaf and coffee.
If you would like my banana loaf recipe stay tuned as I will feature it next week in another blog. If you have any suggestions for new blog ideas I am open too. Thanks for checking things out here and having patience while I try to figure out what I am doing. You are important to me!!
have a nice evening together Julie!
